Flowers & Sense in conjunction with Fleur, the Northern Society of Florists and Event Planners will be offering workshops in the Fall of 2012. We are presently working on an accredited curriculum for event planners. Please email us if you are interested in pursuing or enhancing your career as an event planner.

We will also be offering workshops for the new brides focusing on planning their upcoming weddings, ‘Be Your Own Wedding Planner’. The workshops will feature information for the bride and groom planning their wedding in Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia, Midland, Penetanguishene, Parry Sound, Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and surrounding areas. The day long workshop will give each bride great information on wedding suppliers, planning time lines, innovative ideas, hands on projects, tips and tricks all pertinent to this geographical area.

For the generally interested we will be offering a Thanksgiving Centerpiece workshop at Chappell Farms on Hwy 93, Barrie. We will be posting location, costs and times in September 2012.

Marilyn is always intrigued with new ideas, mediums and installations. She is always willing to work with businesses, associations and private clientele looking for new and interesting ideas to engage people and their surroundings. As a benefactor of the MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie, I supply them weekly with an artistic floral arrangement. I find this creative outlet let’s me break all traditional rules of flower arranging and concentrate on form, colour and feeling.
