Flowers & Sense is known for our
unique designs and attention to detail. We can create and
deliver for you, life event flowers for birthdays,
anniversary, corporate, party, wedding and sympathy
arrangements. Here you will experience an abundance of
flowers, innovative floral designs, unique accessories, and
pure inspiration. Marilyn will work with you to design the
perfect floral décor for your event or special occasion. We
can custom order flowers and accessories for all your needs.
Private consultation appointments are available from Monday
to Saturday and include early evening’s times. Flowers &
Sense will work with you and design an exclusive concept
that reflects your personal style for your event or gift.
Our aim is to always achieve your vision with our custom
designed arrangements and then add that extra touch. Every
wedding or event is unique, but our goal is always the same:
to leave your guests raving about the look and you delighted
by our service.
Flowers & Sense is located in Barrie,
Ontario and delivers flowers in Barrie and surrounding
areas.
The Growing Years:
Marilyn and Marie started Flowers & Sense in September, 1999 in a small space in a medical center. Over the next 8 years we became known for our creative designs and unique ideas. Quickly we realized our talents were well suited for the wedding industry. We eventually out grew this location and moved to Blake St. and a full storefront business.
For the next five years we were able to provide even more to our everyday clients as well as our brides. We attended many workshops in Ontario as well as Upper New York State. In the last couple of years we realized that we wanted to do more in our industry. Education, associations, workshops and custom design were calling Marilyn. Marie also wanted to pursue some personal projects and to only work on special floral projects. We decided that an everyday storefront was stopping us from realizing these dreams so, we moved the business to a private, by appointment only studio.
Where we're going:
Marilyn is focusing on flower designs for weddings and events, as well as creating custom designs for everyday life events. She is also pursuing classes in Being Your Own Wedding Planner – Seasonal Flower Design Workshops – DIY Workshops and is working on more projects for 2013/2014.
Marilyn is also realizing a long time dream of creating a Northern Society of Florists and Event Planners. Marie still comes in and designs on the major projects; she also works with close friends in the industry on their special projects, and is pursuing her business in real estate investments.
